Thank you!

I am so happily surprised by the generousity of people around me! Thank you so much for supporting Childreach and their work in Tanzania! My knee is feeling a lot better even if it looks horrible still... blue all around, but easier to walk on, def. Cant wait for it to be ok to run on again, this is doing my head in. So much energy and nowhere to spend it! :) Went to see Chelsea-Swansea on Saturday, had a great time at the stadium! Was invited by the friends and I must say it was a great game and event. And Chelsea won after playing really well, so that was very good. I was told that the players have lots of groupies waiting for them outside, travelling from all sorts of places to meet their idols.. lots of girls hanging around the stadium to get a little glimpse.. I guess I just never thought it would be like that with footballers, but then again, Beckham and Cole do have famous girlfriends too.. Anyway, another week to hit and I am sure I will be back on my training soon again!

Motivation...by Letzter (aka MacGyver)

Today I had a great motivation chat with the great Mr Martin Letzter, who has climbed the 7 Summits and also written a book about it. When reading the book, "Adhoc Rocks", you think that this guy is quite a mental person that puts himself in situations you shouldn't really... But as the survivor he is, and very much a practical person, he sorts it out, as well his mates do. As I have the privilege to work with him, I have asked for some tips and ideas when it comes to fundraising and also equipment etc.. After talking to him for a few minutes, I realized that my expedition is far less adventurous than his as I don't attempt to ski down the mountain.. After reading his (and his travel mate's) book, it does feel like they have learned by doing, and they have had to do it over and over to learn what they know today, so Im happy Im asking him now and not before, as then I wouldnt be as confident :) I do feel that he is a huge source of information and advices, so I wi

Ben Nevis, Scotland! Aug, 2011

Ben Nevis Scotch and Ale! After a well done walk up the UK's highest mountain!  Yeah! We reached the top!  Claire at the top!  Halfway up, a lake appears when the mist disappears..  Full scottish breakfast, with haggis.. Clarie checking out Glen Nevis, Ben's little brother.. Thought I should share some pics from Ben Nevis, Scotland! Me and my dear friend Claire went up the mountain, thinking it would be a challenge, but still quite easy.. yeah right! We set off quite happily after a big Scottish breakfast; egg, sausage, bacon, haggis (scottish...) and some coffee. We walked the first 3 miles (5km) to the start, at the Ben Nevis Inn. Its just below Glen Nevis, Ben's little brother, which looked HUGE! Me being the optimistic person that I am, I thought that shorts and tshirt would be perfect for a hike in Scotland.. yeah, Scotland.. after 45 mins we found ourselves in a rainstorm... and there was no meaning really to change as the backpack was just as wet.
